The devil is afraid of us…

“The devil is afraid of us when we pray and make sacrifices. He is also afraid when we are humble and good. He is especially afraid when we love Jesus very much. He runs away when we make the sign of the Cross.”

-St. Anthony the Great (of Egypt). Feast day: January 17.

Thank you for the inviting Icon. Also the wise words from a Saint I know little about. Maybe I like it because I look like him and live in a desert area.😉

Thank you Mary. Before I saw your message this morning I had read about Anthony in “Prayer for the Day”, a a book of 365 daily reflections which had originally been broadcast on BBC radio. I hadn’t heard of him before and now twice in one day!
What an inspiring image you have made.
